Job Opening for ATG E-Commerce

This is about a job opening with one of our Esteemed clients in Pune. Position: ATG eCommerce Resource. Location: Pune Overall Responsibilities Candidates will implement scalable, high performing solutions using the ATG eCommerce platform and related technologies like Java, J2EE, EJB, JSP, Oracle, SQL, HTML, XML, UML. This position's responsibilities include: • Working closely with the Tech Lead and Architect to help develop technical design artifacts • Develop web applications and web services in a scalable and reusable manner • Knowledgeable of leading application servers, such as JBoss and WebLogic, in order to implement the proposed solution • Help scope work by providing detailed development time estimates • Utilize various application integration techniques to communicate with third party and legacy/back-end systems • Assist with development of technical design documentation including UML, ERD and other design artifacts • Perform development tasks with little direction or supervision • Performance tune and troubleshoot medium to large scale web applications • Build upon commercial web applications (ATG application server, content management personalization engine, B2C/B2B commerce platform, portal,) with custom code. • Utilize Coding languages and environments including but not limited to Java, J2EE, EJB, JSP, XML, HTML, UNIX/Windows systems administration, Oracle, Quality Center, Atlassian JIRA and Confluence. • Suggest innovative solutions to business problems/processes that leverage technology to provide marketing differentiation, efficiency improvements, and better user experiences. • Occasional mentoring of peers. • Participate in overall project management, time estimation, and resource scheduling. • Champion process improvement Skills Required • Minimum of five years experience of hands-on involvement in eCommerce solution development. • 3-5 years experience with ATG technology including core eCommerce, Publishing/Content Management, ACC, CSC, Search. • Ten years experience in IT or eBusiness, including experience with web application development, e-commerce. • Hands-on knowledge of UNIX & Windows operating systems. • Conceptual knowledge of networking equipment including firewalls, load balancers, VPN concentrators, SSL accelerators, etc. • Hands-on experience with most of the following technologies: Java, J2EE, Oracle, SQL, Servlets, SOA, and XML. • Web user interface technologies (HTML, JSP, Tag Libraries, AJAX, JavaScript) • Integration experience (examples: Content Management Systems, Search Engines, Web Services, Tax Processors, Payment Processors, Fulfillment, Ad Engines, Akamai) • Database (Oracle and SQL Server) product knowledge including transaction management, SQL programming, schema design and JDBC • Relevant O/S knowledge (Linux/Unix and Windows) • JVM Semantics/Garbage Collection knowledge • Application Server (preferablly jboss) experience • Web Server (Apache and IIS) knowledge • Experience with multiple methodologies (e.g. RUP, Agile, Scrum), development tools (e.g. Eclipse, Maven, Cruise Control), and configuration management tools (e.g. SubVersion, CVS). • Hands-on experience performing some DBA activities. • Some large-scale systems deployment experience. • Ability to clearly present technical solution options • Strong written, verbal, presentation and influencing skills.
