Educational Qualification, Experience, Duties and Responsibilities Ph.D. Degree with First class or equivalent in B.E/B.Tech and M.E/M.Tech. in Textile Technology/Engineering/Carpet Technology OR
In exceptional cases candidates with Science and Management degrees may be considered
Minimum 18 years of experience in teaching research/ industry, out of which at least 03 years shall be at the post of equivalent to that of Professor in a reputed Engineering or Technology Institute or University.
A person having experience in the relevant field of teaching as well as industry to be preferred.
• At least two successful Ph.D. guided as Supervisor/ Co-Supervisor and minimum 8 research publications in SCI journals/ UGC/ AICTE approved list of journals. Desirable:
Post Ph.D. Publication & Guiding Ph.D Students is desirable.
• Administrative experience in a responsible position.

Method of Recruitment:
Deputation/ Short term contract
1. Period of deputation may be 5 years (3 years provision of extension for another 2 years after assessment of performance carried out through EC)
2. In case of short term contract, there is a provision of 3 years service, no probation period is required.
Note:
