UI Designer/Senior UI Designer Cleartrip.com - (Bangalore only) (Mumbai Area, India) Job Description We are an online travel company looking for passionate web designers that can write code. Yes, you should able to hand code HTML, CSS and some Javascript without requiring a clunky WYSIWYG editor. Cleartrip's suite of travel products attempts to simplify the way individuals and businesses buy travel and how airlines, hotels and agents sell it. We aim for our products to be exceptionally designed, super-responsive and really easy to use. We prefer designing and developing all our products in-house to ensure what we call front-end goodness and we need someone who can help us in this endeavour. Someone who's as excited about designing interfaces that leverage advances in web technologies (HTML5, CSS3) to deliver innovative, path-breaking products. Some of the projects we need help with: • Our recently launched mobile site – visit cleartrip.com from any phone to check it out. It's built using HTML, CSS and Javascript to deliver an experience fine tuned for both basic and smartphones. We have a lot of ideas around building on this product • Our mothership (cleartrip.com) is always evolving and we have some big plans for it – think of all the possibilities with HTML5 and CSS3 to deliver a superior travel booking experience • We have only scratched the surface of travel planning with Small World (cleartrip.com/smallworld) – we have a lot planned for this Job Perks Other than the opportunity to work on some cutting-edge products, you also get to work with some really smart and nice people. Desired Skills & Experience • 3 - 8 years+ of design experience in a product company/ portal / interactive agency • Individuals with strong creative skills and a keen interest to design for the new web paradigm • Good understanding of SEO tips, tricks and techniques a major plus. • Bonus points for passionate hand-coders who hate the WSIWYG editor and enjoy writing lean, lightweight, standards-based markup. • Thorough understanding of HTML, XHTML, and CSS required. • Solid communication skills About Clear trip: An online travel portal used to make reservations for Flights, Hotel and Trains.
